Captured By A Compelling Narrative Conference Day One

Dr. Walter E. Fluker, Martin Luther King Jr. Professor of Ethical Leadership at Boston School of Theology, skypes into the Compelling Narrative Conference at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary on October 27, 2011.

Our top notch A/V and IT crew monitoring the video and lives tream feeds from the balcony of the Chapel of the Unnamed Faithful.

Mike Slaughter, chief dreamer and lead pastor at Ginghamsburg Church, one of the largest United Methodist churches, speaks at the Compelling Narrative Conference on the need for the church to become missional-centered.

Mike Slaughter challenged those in attendance: "We need leaders who will lead with courage, rather than compliance."

Author and speaker, Diana Butler Bass, shares some of the "compelling narratives"from her youth and young adulthood.

Diana Butler Bass reminded all that "Stories are the heart for the ability of our world to change."
